BASKETBALL
THE KIWI CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Kiwi Basketball Club was held in the Waikiwi Hall last evening, Mrs W. N. Johnston presiding over an attendance of 22 members. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted, a successful year being disclosed. For the first time, four teams were entered in the competitions, two first grade players and one second grade player gained representative honours, and the first grade team were runners-up in the Saturday competi tion. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £3 4/4, which was considered to be quite satisfactory. The following office-bearers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr J. S. Clarkson; vice-presidents, Mrs W. N. Johnston, Messrs 11. F. Clark and G. Millar; club captain, Miss G. Twemlow; secretary, Miss R. Reid; treasurer, Miss R. Wilkes; committee: Mrs I. Smith, Mrs R. A. Keast, Misses R. Murdoch and C. Francis; delegates to Southland Association, Mr J. Clarkson, Misses G. Twemlow, R. Reid and R. Murdoch.
