It is understood that Sir Granville Ryrie’s term as Australian High Commissioner has been extended by four months and that he returns to the Commonwealth in September. PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE IN GAOL. . The unemployed in Britain number 2,112,927 wholly, 486,599 temporary and 101,647 casually. This is 27,238 fewer than in January, but 83,515 more than a year ago.
