The tennis match between Japan and New South Wales was continued to-day in beautiful weather with a large attendance. Results: Singles: Satoh (Japan) beat Dunlop (N.S.W.) 6—2, 7—5; Crawford (N.S.W.) beat Harada (Japan) 6 —3, B—6;8 —6; Willard (N.S.W.) defeated Nunoi (Japan) 6—.4, 7—5. Doubles: Willard and Dunlop defeated Satoh and Nunoi 6—4, 6—4; Crawford and Dunlop beat Harada and Satoh B—6, 6—3. New South Wales won by 8 rubbers, 17 sets 131 games to 2 rubbers 7 sets, 107 games. Saturday's matches resulted: Singles: Harada (Japan) beat Willard (N.S.W) 4—6, 6—2, 6—4; Crawford (N.S.W.) beat Satoh (Japan) 6—o, 6—4; Dunlop (N.S.W.) beat Nunoi (Japan) 6 —l, 2—6, 11—9. Doubles: Crawford and Willard beat Harada and Satoh I—6,1 —6, 6 —3, 6—2 : Crawford and Dunlop beat Harada and Nunoi 6—2, 3—6, 6—4. PRAISE FOR CRAWFORD. Sydney, January 18. The Japanese tennis player Harada stated that Crawford on Hie form he showed against Satoh would have defeated Cochet or any other player in the world.
