TWO LIVES LOST
FIRE IN LODGING HOUSE. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 7.0 p.m.) London, January 18. A fire in a Hamilton (Lanarkshire) lodging house for aged people resulted in two men being burned to death. The manager, Mr Lynch, and Constables Crichton and Ross heroically rescued fourteen others, mostly septuagenarians.
