BRIDGE COLLAPSES
LORRY HURLED INTO STREAM. • I 53 LAMBS KILLED. 1 (Per United Press Association.) I Hamilton, January 15. The collapse of a bridge over the Rua- c kiwi stream hurled a double-decker lorry E carrying 85 lambs into the stream 30 feet ’ below. The lorry landed wheels up, but fortunately the engine rested on the bank, enabling the driver, J. Hampstead, to make his escape. He had an r’m b-01-or, n- ’ received severe bruises.
