The Tamatea will make a trip to Stewart Island to-day, leaving Bluff at 1.15 a.m. and returning from the Island in the evening. Yesterday the Tamatea sailed from Bluff on the Foveaux Strait cable repair work at 6.40 a.m. and returned to port at 4.35 p.m. . Cable advice has been received by the C. and D. Line that the Port Hunter, which left Wellington on November 19 for London, cleared Colon on December 10. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company advises that the Matkana is to load at Port Chalmers, Timaru, New Plymouth, Wellington, and Napier. She is to sail finally from Napier on January 23 for London, via Panama and Kingston. The New Zealand-Shipping Company has received cable advice that the Federal steamer Norfolk left Falmouth on December 10 in ballast for New Zealand. She is due on the coast about January 18 to load for England. The Government motor ship Maui Pomare, which is completing her overhaul at Port Chalmers, was to sail yesterday, and is due at Auckland on Monday. She is to leave Auckland on December 23 for Apia and Niue Island. The Shaw, Savill Company advises that the Tairoa commenced loading at New Plymouth on Tuesday. She will also load at Wanganui, Wellington, Napier, Auckland, Timaru and Port Chalmers. The vessel is to sail finally from Port Chalmers on January .7 for London and West Coast ports of the United Kingdom, via Panama and Kingston. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE.
