Messrs G. Tapper, R. Smith, I. A. O’Brien and B. Ferris leave this morning for Lake Hauroto on a reconnoitring expedition. The Southland Boys’ High School first eleven, in charge of the rector, Dr Uttley, returned from Oarnaru by last evening’s express.
Mr C. A. Davis leaves Invercargill tomorrow evening on a trip abroad. He will travel to Europe via Suez and will return via the United States. A Press Association message from London states that a well-known Wellingtonian, Mr G. Goldie, has been successful in passing the Town Planning Institute’s membership examination.
