COMMONWEALTH BONDS
RENEWAL ANTICIPATED.
(Unltod Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) London, December 15.
It is learned authoritatively that despite the accumulation of credits in London there is every probability that the . Commonwealth Treasury bonds will be renewed from January 1. It is pointed out that though credits are building up owing to a satisfactory balance of trade accumulations, by December 31 they are hardly likely to be sufficient to repay the capital as well as meet the Commonwealth’s large interest liabilities in the event of the renewal of the bills, which are most likely to cost a little over 7 per cent.
