CASTLE RAIDED
HOME OF GERMAN BARON. TREASONABLE ASSEMBLY SUSPECTED. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) London, December 15. The Berlin correspondent of the Daily Mail states that the political police raided the Castle of Rothenburg, the home of Baron von Reichenau, a former German Ambassador, searching it from attic to cellar. They even searched the pockets of the owners and 40 guests, who included distinguished members of the Baden aristocracy, clergymen and several German Nazis. Letters and documents were seized, the police stating that the assembly was suspected of being treasonable and they had orders to search for certain incriminating documents, including correspondence between Herr Hitler and Prince Eulenburg. The Baron, who is 74, and a well-known Nazi sympathizer, has protested to President Hindenburg against the raid.
