BOWLS ON SUNDAY
PERMISSION REFUSED. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, December 15. A lengthy discussion took place at a meeting of the Christchurch Bowling Centre regarding the holding of bowling tournaments on Sundays. The subject was introduced when C. F. Dodds moved that the action of the executive in refusing to grant permission to the New Brighton Club to hold a tournament last Sunday be endorsed. The motion was carried. It was also decided that all clubs be circularized for an expression of opinion regarding Sunday tournaments.
