HOLD-UP AT THEATRE
STOLEN MONEY RECOVERED. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) Brisbane, December 15. An armed robber held up the cashier of the Regent Theatre in Queen Street last night while the show was in progress and decamped with £2OO in cash. The cashier, Mr Harris, was forced at the revolver point into the manager’s (Mr Betts’) room adjoining, where the robber locked them in. He then got away. An employee heard the alarm and gave chase. The police joined in and caught the man half-a-mile away. The money was recovered.
