Passion Fruit Butter
“Alice” (Tweed street) sends this excellent change from lemon honey: To make passionfruit butter get the following ingredients:—One dozen passionfruit, 4 eggs, 4 dessertspoons butter, and lib sugar. Mix all well together, stir well, and cook in a double boiler until the mixture is as thick as honey. Store in pots and keep airtight. It should keep for some time, and is delicious on bread and butter; also makes a filling for cakes and tarts.
