A postmistress in a sub-past office in London recently called a bluff with quite magnificent spirit. One morning a man with his face partly concealed in a scarf handed her a note which stated: “Beware. You are now covered by three guns. Hand over all the money. Give us five minutes to get away, or we will take you with us.” She replied, “Certainly not,” and produced a police whistle. Her caller fled!
