UNUSUALLY ANIMATED MARKET.
(United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 7.35 p.m.) Sydney, December 14. The Stock Exchange to-day was unusually brisk. Federal Government stocks were much in demand, 4 per cents. (1938) touching £96 6/3, a rise of 8/9. Other longer dated 4 per cents, rose similarly. The market for leading industrials and trading issues was also strong, but bank shares eased slightly.
