VICTORIAN TITLE. CRAWFORD BEATS HOPMAN. (United Press Assn, —By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Nlelbourne, December 13. Crawford by defeating Hopman 7—5, o—6, 6 —3, 6 —4 won the singles title at the tennis championships. Crawford played his best game and placed shots with amazing command. In the men’s doubles championships, Patterson and Hopman beat Turnbull and Quist 2—6, 7—5, B—6, 6—2. In the women’s singles championship, Mrs A. Robertson beat Miss Lc Messurier 6—2, 6—4.
For the mixed doubles championship, Crawford and Mrs Crawford beat Hopman and Miss Hall B—6,8 —6, G—B, 6—2.
