GORE A. AND T.
JUBILEE SHOW RECORD ENTRIES. The Gore A. and P. Association’s jubilee show to be held next week has attracted excellent entries, which show an increase of 168 over last year. This year's total of 1217 entries constitutes a record for although on one occasion many years ago this number was exceeded, it was at a time when agricultural implements played an important part in the competitive sections, and were not regarded as trade displays as in more recent years. The best previous total was in 1926 when 1209 entries were received. A comparison of this year’s entries with those of last year show satisfactory increases in the cattle, horses and dairy produce sections, but the entries in the sheep classes show a slight falling off. The competitions this year have also attracted unusually large entries, being more than double of those received last year. The entries are as follow, the figures for last year being given in parentheses:—
