MINOR, OFFENCE
BANKRUPT WOOLBUYER. DEBT’S CONTRACTED. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, November 24. Observing that the offence with which the prisoner was charged was one of the lesser offences under the Bankruptcy Act, Mr Justice Adams to-day ordered Washington Irving Carney, a woolbroker, to come up for sentence if called upon within 12 months on a charge of contracting a debt without expectation or ability to pay.
