LAST WEEK’S PROBLEM.
South dealt and secured the contract with One No-Trump. West led the 2 of Diamonds and Dummy’s hand was S: 9-4-2; H: 8-7-5-3; D: A-J-6; C:Q-10-2. East held : S: Q-J-10-5; H: J-9; C: Q-5-4-3; C: K-6-2. What should East play? Applying the Rule of Eleven, East canoqi ?uaq o) spjpa amu oqj jo uoaos oas lead. He knows that West held four Diamonds, so that South can have only two. If he puts in the Queen, Dummy’s A-J will make and provide two entry cards.
