EXILED QUEEN
ILLNESS IN VIENNA. OVERDOSE OF VERONAL. (United Press. Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) London, June 25. The Vienna correspondent of the Daily Express states that advice has been received from Bucharest to the effect that Queen Helen is ill and suffering from an overdose of veronal. Officials of the household explain that her Majesty’s illness was due to an accidental mixing of the medicine bottles.
It is reported that foreign diplomats, including the British, have approached King Carol and urged him to permit the Queen to remain with her son. The King, .however, is stated to be adamant.
