QUARTERLY MEETING. (Per United Press Association.) Timaru, June 25. The quarterly meeting of the South Island Motor Union to-day decided to ask the Highways Board to pay the cost of providing white centre lines on bitumen roads. Mr F. W. Freeman (Christchurch) made trenchant reference to the alleged boycott of petrol retailers. He asserted that motorists in New Zealand were paying £3,000,000 annually above the landed price of petrol.
