An interesting exhibit in the window of a jewellery firm at Dunedin for a short period on Saturday morning was a parcel of retorted gold from the Golden Progress Quartz Mining Company’s workings at Oturehua, Central Olago. The weight of the gold is 3260 z., and represents four and a-half weeks’-crushing of 211 tons of stone.
