DISABLED STEAMER
TOWING OPERATIONS IN PROGRESS. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, June 24. The Opawa has reached the City of Kimberley and is towing her to Auckland. Operations are proceeding satisfactorily. There were no further details in a brief wireless message received to-night. The steamer City of Kimberley, en route from New York to Auckland, lost her propeller and was drifting in- the Pacific 1300 miles from Auckland. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s motor ship Opawa, which was coming to Auckland from Liverpool and was near the City of Kimberley, went to her assistance.
