The Tamatea left for Stewart Island at 10.25 a.m. yesterday. She is expected to return to-day. The Huntingdon left Port Chalmers for Bluff at 3.45 p.m. yesterday. She is expected to berth about 10 a.m. to-day to begin loading frozen meat, cheese and other products for the English market. She sails on completion for Timaru. The Union Company’s freighter Waipiata is still at Lyttelton, where she has been delayed by a southerly gale. She was to clear port last evening for Dunedin and Bluff, being due at the latter port tomorrow. The. Waipiata sails to-morrow evening for Dunedin. Advice has been received that the Somerset, which left Wellington on May 3 for London, via Halifax and Hook of Holland, arrived at her destination on June 17. The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Tamaroa. which reached London from New Zealand on June 9, is scheduled to clear Southampton on September 11 for Welling-

ton and Auckland. She is due at Wellington on October 14. The Canadian Cruiser arrived at Adelaide at 8.30 o’clock on Thursday morning. She left Dunedin on June 11 after discharging Canadian cargo in New Zealand, and she also loaded in New Zealand. She will complete discharge in Australia, and will load and sail finally from Brisbane for New York, Boston, and Montreal. ORIENT LINE. ONE CLASS TOURIST STEAMERS. Advice has been received by the Union Steam Ship Company, agents for the Orient Line, to the effect that the London managers of the line have decided to convert the R.M.S. Orsova and R.M.S, Ormonde to one class tourist steamers. The Orsova will make her first voyage as a tourist steamer leaving London on August 15, and her subsequent sailing from Sydney for the United Kingdom will be on October 10, next. The Ormonde will leave London on November 7, and Sydney on January 2 next. The single fares from New Zealand to London will range from £4O to £lO4, and the return fares from £72 to £lB2, plus exchange. All the former first class accommodation, including decks and public rooms, will be available to tourist travellers and the comfort and attention characteristic of Orient Line steamers will be provided in the one class vessels.
