SEAT RETAINED BY LABOUR. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 7 p.m.) London, June 23. The Ardwick by-election, caused by Mr T. Lowth’s death, resulted: J. Henderson (Labour) 15,294 S. L. Elbourne (Conservative) 14,980 At the general election in 1929 the polling resulted: —T. Lowth (Labour) 20,041; Miss M. L. K. Jones (Conservative) 13,177.
