DISTRICT NEWS
RIVERSDALE NOTES. The Anglican Church bazaar, held on Thursday, proved a great success and the church funds will benefit accordingly. In the evening a dance was held, Mr G. Robinson being M.C. Excellent music was supplied by the local orchestra. The following are the winners of the various competitions held during the evening: Dinner wagon, Mrs P. Windle; naildriving competition, Mrs J. Kelly 1, Mrs Shea 2; patchwork, Mr G. Youngson; -rag mat, Mrs R. Clarke; ladies’ sawing competition, Miss J. Tither ; sheep-guessing, Mr P. Shallard 1, Mr J. Butler 2; fruit dish, Mr N. Nolan; glass jug, Mr W. J. Kelly; bronze bowl, Mr L. Gee.
