The heads of game secured by Messrs J. Holmes, of Frankton, H. Thomas, of Auckland, and A. McKinnon, of Hamilton, during a recent shooting tour in Africa, have arrived in New Zealand and have been mounted by Mr Holmes. They make a handsome collection, and comprise 21 varieties. The specimens include heads of buffalo, rhinoceros, kudu; eland, waterbuck, hartebeest, impala, warthogs, duyker buck, oribi, zebra, situtunga ram and sassaby, roan, sable, lech we antelope. The rhinoceros, head has three horns, and is a rare specimen. Very few situtunga rams have been shot, and the specimen secured is a particularly good one.
