OUTLOOK IN INDIA
PEACE A LONG WAY OFF. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph Copyright.) Melbourne, April 6. Sir John Monash has returned from India after representing the Commonwealth at the inauguration of New Delhi. He declared that peace in India was still a long way off, and added that if those who were agitating succeeded in their demands India would be able to make treaties with other countries which would deprive the Empire of its commercial safety.
