PRIME MINISTER’S ILL-HEALTH. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7.20 p.m.) Tokio, April 4. The Prime Minister, Mr Hamaguchi, attended the Diet during the last few days despite weakness following the shooting incident in November. The Opposition heckled him severely, having no mercy because, they argued, the Prime Minister’s resignation would break up the Ministry. Hence they objected to an invalid continuing to hold office. Mr Hamaguchi, no longer borne up by an iron determination, collapsed, and to-day doctors declared that a further operation was necessary. OPERATION PERFORMED. (Rec. 12.45 a.m.) Tokio, April 5. Mr Hamaguchi was operated upon and is progressing satisfactorily.
