ASSISTANCE FOR FARMERS. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, January 7. Though the Government will not adopt the expedient of a moratorium to help the dairy farmers out of their difficulties the suggestions of the recent deputation from the industry will bear fruit this week as Ministers have actively in hand preparations for the appointment of a special committee to consider the economic position of the industry with a view to assisting farmers in regard to credit. The personnel is likely to include those who can make practical recommendations along these lines and will be announced within a lew days.
