Advice has been received that the Shell Oil Company’s motor vessel Paua will reach Bluff from Wellington on Saturday next. With the departure of the Rotorua no outside shipping remains at Bluff. A quiet period is assured for several days. The Tamatea left for Stewart Island yesterday at 10.45 a.m. and returned to Bluff at 5.40 p.m. carrying a large number of passengers each way. She leaves for the Island again at 3 p.m. to-day. The Commonwealth and Dominion liner Port Pirie sailed from New York for Auckland on December 29. She will have cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin, and is due to arrive at Auckland on January 29 and Dunedin about February 10. The Union Company’s motor liner Aorangi, which is to arrive at Auckland on January 15, left Vancouver yesterday morning. The vessel will berth at Honolulu, Suva. Auckland and Sydney. The Union Company advises that' the Kiwitea, which left Wellington on Tuesday for Westport, will proceed to Hobart, Adelaide, and Melbourne to load for Auckland, Portland, New Plymouth, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. The Union Company’s cargo steamer Wainui sailed from Dunedin on Tuesday night for Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton. She will then sail to Wellington with general

cargo for discharge at Wellington, Napier and Gisborne. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line advises that the motor vessel Port Fairey left Hobart last Sunday for New Plymouth, being due to-day. She will complete Homeward loading at Wanganui, Wellington, Napier and Auckland, sailing finally from Auckland on February 2 for London, via Panama Canal. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE.
