SKELETON IN CAVE

, STARTLING DISCOVERY. With a rusty pistol at his side and a bullet hole in his right temple, the skeleton of a man of about 40 was found in a cave in the' heart of Warleigh Woocls, near Bath. No clothing was found, but there were some coins, the latest bearing the date 1907, a pencil, a silver watch, a candle, and a box of matches. The discovery was made by two Post Office workmen who were laying a cable. On seeing the narrow entrance to the cave, the men decided to crawl inside with a flashlight, and'they slid down some distance before they landed in the vault of the cave. Suddenly the beam of the torch revealed the skeleton. They scrambled out and notified the police.
