TRADE RECIPROCITY

AUSTRALIA AND CANADA. TENTATIVE AGREEMENT REACHED. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 7.30 p.m.) Ottawa, December 16. A tentative agreement reached between the Canadian Minister (or Trade and Commerce, Mr Stevens, and the Australian Minister for Markets, Mr Parker Moloney, will be placed before the Federal Cabinet on Wednesday and, if approved, the details respecting it may be made public. Officially it is stated that Mr Moloney does not anticipate any difficulty when the agreement is submitted to the Australian Government.

Following upon a conference on Tuesday, Mr Moloney and party were the guests of the Dominion Government at a dinner, after which the Australian Minister boarned a train for Toronto. Later he will go on to Quebec, where he will spend Christmas. He will then continue his journey to Vancouver cn route home.
