OLD CABMAN’S LAMENT
' BEATEN BY MOTORS. After driving a four-wheeler at Chislehursl, England, for over half a century, Mr Walter Tyrell, Ihe last horse cabby in the district, is retiring. He says he has been beaten by the motors. “My old clients have gone, and the present generation don’t want horse cabs,’ 1 he remarked. Mr Tyrell frequently drove the late exEmpress Eugenie during her residence at Chislehurst. She went in his cab to the memorial service at the local Roman Catholic church for the Prince Imperial, who was killed in the Zulu war.
