MAIL BAG’S ADVENTURE
EXTRAORDINARY INCIDENT. A mail-bag figured in an extraordinary incident in Hertfordshire lately. Shortly after a Widford postman had informed the police that a bag had been lost or stolen from the back of his bicycle, Mr J. E. Budge walked into the police station with the missing bag. Mr Budge had found the bag dangling from the door-handle on the rear side of his motor-car, after travelling 20 miles from Widford. Apparently the handle caught the bag as the car passed the bicycle, which was stationary, and dragged it off.
