TERRITORIAL ARMY
NEW DECORATION AND MEDAL. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, October 18. A Royal warrant has been issued instituting a new decoration and medal for an award to officers and other ranks of the territorial army and also other auxiliary military forces throughout the Empire in which service rendered is of a voluntary or part time character. They are to be known as the efficiency decoration and efficiency medal. Another Royal warrant provides for the grant of a long service and good conduct medal, similar to the existing one, under standard conditions for soldiers of all permanent military forces throughout the Empire.
