The Canterbury Steam Ship Company’s coastal vessel Calm left Blutf last evening for Dunedin. Sho discharged and loaded 330 tons of general cargo each way. Messrs J. G. Ward and Company advise that the Federal liner Turakina sailed from Liverpool on Saturday, October 11, for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The Union Company advise that the motor-tanker Athelqueen is to leave San Pedro about November 6 with fuel-oil for Wellington. The Athelqueen is of 8780 tons gross, and was built in 1928 by the Furness Shipbuilding Company, Ltd., Haverton, Hill-on-Tees, for the United Molasses Company. Other “Athel” vessels which have visited Wellington recently are the Athelregent and the Atheltempiar. Under charter to the A. and A. Line, the Federal steamer Westmoreland was scheduled to leave New York on October 15 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The Canadian National steamer Canadian Conqueror is reported to have cleared Colon on October 11, eu route from Montreal to Auckland and Australia. She is scheduled to arrive at Auckland about November 9. Messrs H. L. Tapley and Company, have received' advice that the Government motor ship Maui Pomare, after; being laid up at Wellington since last June for repairs to her machinery, will be recommissioned this month. She is scheduled to leave Auckland for Norfolk Island not. later than November 4. THE TAINUI. The National Mortgage and Agency Company advise that the Shaw, Savill liner Tainui arrived at Auckland on Sunday evening. After completing discharge at Wellington she proceeds to Port Chalmers and Bluff to load. The vessel is due at Bluff on November 4 and sails on November 5 for Wellington. The Tainui sails finally for Southampton from Napier on November 19. MAHANA FOR BLUFF. The Shaw, Savill liner Mahana, from Liverpool, was scheduled to arrive at Auckland yesterday with cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Port Chalmers. The vessel loads for Home at Timaru, Bluff, Auckland and Wellington. She is due at Bluff on November 12 and sails on November 13 for Auckland direct. The Mahana then proceeds to 'Wellington, sailing finally from that port for. London on November 27. THE MAHENO. The Union Company’s intercolonial mail steamer Maheno reached Bluff yesterday after a very heavy passage from Wellington. She loaded general cargo for Australia and was timed to sail at midnight for Melbourne direct. PORT NICHOLSON COMING. Messrs Henderson and Company, Ltd., local agents for the Commonwealth and 'Dominion Line, Ltd., advise that the steamer Port Nicholson is due at Bluff on the 29th inst. to discharge general merchandise from London and upon completion of discharge will load for London and United Kingdom ports. Two London journalists, one of whom was on his honeymoon, and a policeman, also on honeymoon, took part, in the fight, armed with walking sticks and a knife.
