ASSUMED NAME
ATTEMPT TO OBTAIN PASSPORT. LABOURER FINED £5O. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, October 18. William John Wilson, aged 39 years, a labourer, was fined £5O to-day for attempting to obtain a passport under an assumed name. The police said that Wilson’s wife left for England six months ago. Last month he applied for a passport for himself and his alleged wife under the name of Stewart. The police found that the woman was a widow and that .they were going to leave behind two children who would both have become a charge on the State.
