WRESTLING.

To the Editor.

Sir, —It was pleasing to me to sec in to-day’s issue your leader on wrestling. I would be pleased if you would again put in this little more from me.

At the chopping meeting on Friday night, where we saw some real interesting clean sport, all triers, everyone giving the public more than their money’s worth, Mr Tom O'Byrne said he was pleased to see so many there, but they could have done with more. Just so; but how could he expect more when the people spent their money watching a show which was like a dog fight, but not so real. You have in your hands now I hope “The Olympic Games Rules for 1920.” I would be pleased if you would publish them before the next fight so the public will understand wrestling from scrapping.

Words cannot express my indignation at the latest methods of exploiting the public. I have taught scientific wrestling since 1912 and feel—well you will have some idea. Perhaps I had better say no more or I may go too far.—l am, etc.,
