RIVERTON RACING CLUB.
To the Editor. Sir, —On returiiing from a holiday I see by your issue of 'lucsday last a secretary had been appointed for the Racing Club. Now, I think out of 14 applicants for the position there were many others who were quite capable and as competent to fill the position, why appoint a man who has ah ready a permanent position with a mercantile firm, while others not in a position were turned own ?—I am, etc., COUNTRY MEMBER.
