QUEEN’S PARK CLUB. RESULT OF SATURDAY’S MATCH. Conditions for golf were not very pleasant on the Park on Saturday afternoon, when an eclectic match was played. The course was very heavy and a shower or two during the afternoon did not improve matters. The results were as follow: —A Grade.— F. H. Hughes 34 —5- —29 J. R. Sutton 36—7—29 G. Alington .. .. .. .. 41—111 —291 SOUTHERN HAWKES BAY TOURNAMENT. A. E. EKSTEDT WINNER. Dannevirke, September 20. The southern Hawkes Bay golf tournament was concluded in fine weather. A. E. Ekstedt (Palmerston North) defeated H. S. Hindmarsh (Napier) in the championship final 6 and 5, the winner being too experienced for his younger opponent. In the Dannevirke Handicap final G. Broadhead (Wanganui) beat F. Bulloch (Dannevirke) 7 and 5.
