CRUISE IN JUNK
VESSEL RETURNS TO PORT. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright) (Rec. 12.5 a.m.) Hong Kong, May 22. The junk Maskee has returned owing to heavy weather. The cruise round the world has meanwhile been abandoned. Mr Stevenson was' the only man fit, and had been in constant control since their departure. Mr Stevenson, F.R.G.S., accompanied by Messrs Banks, Graham and Mitten, left Hong Kong on May 18 on board the junk Maskee in an effort to sail round the world. They expected to reach Sydney in September.
