INDIAN LOAN
ISSUE OF £7,000,000. (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, May 20. The Government of India* loan, which was underwritten yesterday, was offered for subscription to-day and the lists were closed early this afternoon. The issue consists of £7,000,000 of 6 per 'cent, bonds (1933-35) and the price was 99 per cent. The proceeds of the issue will be used mainly to provide funds for capital expenditure on the railways, and the balance will be employed for general purposes.
