DUNEDIN SESSION. (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, May 2. In the Supreme Court to-day Mr Justice Kennedy fined David Thompson, wuo had pleaded guilty to a charge of carnal knowledge, £2O in default two months hard labour. John Joseph Whitty, for attempted carnal knowledge and indecent assault, the offences being committed in _ 1927. was ordered two years’ detention in a Borstal Institute. James Robert Stanley Sutherland and George Frederick Sargeant were sentenced for breaking, entering and theft. Sutherland received two years _in th® Borstal. Sargeant, on account of his youth was placed on probation for three years. William Robert Gibson, an ex-student, for breaking and entering with intent to commit a crime, was placed on probation and ordered' to pay the costs of the trial. Colin Raymond Wills, for indecent assault on a* female, was committed to the Borstal for two years. Albert Robert Wilcoxson, for breaking, entering and theft, was sentenced to two years reformative detention. John Teer Patterson received a similar sentence for attempted carnal knowledge of a girl nine years of age. '-
