FATAL SHOCK
ELECTRIC LINEMAN HAND TOUCHES LIVE WIRE TRAGEDY NEAR MOSGIEL (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, December 4. An electric linesman, Arthur Benton, single, aged 40, and residing in Dunedin, was engaged with two other workmen this afternoon at Maunqatua, near Mosgiel, putting an extra transmission line on to the main line from Waipori to Dunedm .when he was electrocuted. The new line was being hauled across the main line which was carrying 35,000 volts. Deceased’s hands apparently came in contact with the bare wire.
