TERRIBLE CRIME
SIX OF FAMILY SLAIN. POLISH FARMER RUNS AMUCK. (Rec. 7 p.m.) Warsaw, December 4. Enraged because his relations were opposed to his marrying a German girl, a young Polish farmer living at Kattewitz killed six out of seven members of his family with an axe while they were sleeping. He then cleaned the weapon and went to a public house where, after ordering a drink, casually mentioned that he had killed the family. Everyone thought he was joking. The bodies were only found next morning. The farmer has been arrested.
