MAWSON’S EXPEDITION
NEW ZEALAND REPRESENTATIVE.

Wellington, June 6
One of New Zealand’s representatives with Dr Mawson’s forthcoming Antarctic expedition will be Mr R. G. Simmers,_ of the Meteorological Office who has been instructed to hold himself in readiness to proceed almost at once to England to join the Discovery sailing in August. He will be on the meteorological Staff of the expedition. Ho is 24 years of age and a Timaru boy with a distinguished scholastic career and a Rhodes Scholar nominee.
