The winners of the two tons of coal for the correct takings and of the competition for the bride’s doll were announced during the evening, these being Mrs W. J. Payne and Mrs Cathy. Browning respectively. On. Saturday afternoon the Waikaka schoolboys played a match with the lapanui school boys, and succeeded in winning the match by 14 points to nil.
