Miss Anata Neuber

An amazing young woman arrived in Melbourne by the German steamer Aller recently says a writer in a Melbourne exchange. Miss Anata Neuber, Austrian by birth, has achieved success as a sculptress, painter, medical student, eurhythmic dancer, and a boxer. Before she left her country she had begun to manufacture ornamental dolls, and she hopes when she returns to manufacture a typical Australian doll. But she intends to make us known abroad by more than her dolls, and this perhaps is the most extraordinary part of all her story. She wants to sec an Australian kangaroo, and then to invent a dance embodying the movements of this animal. She cannot have seen the animal before she made such a decision. Supposing she invents her dance, where will she get space large enough to perform ? If she performed on a stage, one leap from one wing to another, and the kangaroo dance would be over.
