A QUIET DAY
KING’S HEALTH A MINOR OPERATION LIKELY NO CHANGE IN CONDITION (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 7.30 p.m.) London, June 3. It is officially stated that the King had a quiet day on Sunday. There is no change in his condition. The improvement in the King’s health has been received with widespread feelings of relief, and the fact that daily bulletins are no longer to be issued is taken as a sign that his present illness is merely a temporary setback. Authoritative rejmrts emanating from Windsor Castle yesterday were no less reassuring. It is learned that the Duke and Duchess of York, who visited Windsor, conversed with his Majesty for a considerable time. It is understood that there is the question even of a minor operation to secure the draining of the abscess.—Australian Press Association —United Service.
