AMANULLAH A VICTIM. Delhi, June 1. Amanullah, interviewed at Bombay, emphatically denied the rumour that owing to the defeat of his forces he had left Afghanistan. He considered himself unsuccessful owing to the treachery and unfaithfulness of certain tribes during the course of his march to Kabul against Baccha Sakao and "his band of thieves.” —Australian Press Association.
